Festival 2012

How to Register for the 2012 Festival

Updated 2/6/2012

We have made some modifications to our system, which was all new last year, and now parents who have a valid parent account can create child accounts, and when parent and children accounts are complete, the parents will be able to register their children for the festival. If you or your children participated in the 2011 Festival, your accounts should still be intact.

If you forgot your password or your sign-in account name from last year, please do not create a new account. Your information from last year, such as awards and classes, will be lost if you create a new account. Use the My Account page to fix your account, or use the Contact Us page to get help. The Webmaster loves to be helpful.

If you are a Teacher

Sign in to your account or if you are new to PAFE, sign up for a new Teacher Account, then go to your Profile page, which should tell you if there is anything missing from your account information that would prevent your students from being able to register for the Festival.

Do it as soon as possible, because your students cannot finish registering for classes until your account is complete.

After you sign in to your teacher account, the Festival page will give you a link to the Teacher Student list (found on the Festival page if your account is set as a teacher account), where you can monitor the progress of your students through registration and through the festival. You can also see how they did last year.

If you are a Parent

Here are the steps that will make registration easiest:

  1. Sign in to your account or only if you are new to PAFE, sign up for a new Parent Account.
  2. Go to your Profile page, which should tell you everything you need to know about whether your account is complete, and about creating accounts for your children. (If you had children in the 2011 Festival and your profile does not show a list of your children and their awards, you have probably created a new account when you already had one from last year. Ask for help from the Webmaster by using the Contact Us page.)
  3. Go to the Festival page and click on the Festival Registration Form link.
  4. Select which of your children you want to register.
  5. Follow the directions on the form.

If you are a Student

We recommend that you persuade one of your parents to create a Parent Account on the PAFE site, then it is very easy for them to create an account for you. If you want to do it yourself, you can, but if you are under age 18, you won't be able to registrater for the Festival until both you and your parents have complete account information. The Festival Registration Form will tell you what fields are incomplete.

Pay your registration fees online with PayPal

Your family will be able to pay your registration fees online with a credit or debit card using the popular PayPal system, and you don't even need a PayPal account to do it. When you submit your registration, you will be able to specify that you would like to pay online. We will then send you an invoice by email, and you can pay it through PayPal. A charge of $3 will be added to your invoice to cover our costs of using the online payment system. For more information, go to http://www.PayPal.com. Of course, if you wish, you can also mail a check with your registration like folks have done for more than 25 years.

If you need Help

Go to the Division page and click on the chairperson's name to send them a message to ask for assistance.

Registration is open

You can begin to register now, and the deadline for online submissions is Friday, March 2nd, 2012. After you sign in to your account, there will be a Registration Form link on the Festival page. Since the registration is saved at each stage, you can always return and finish it later until you submit it. Then it cannot be changed.
